Faster, Better Methods for User Experience Design

Wednesday, May 6 • 4:15 – 5:00pm

The most common current approaches to user experience design require tons of up-front planning and extensive follow up reporting — they take excess time and money. This session will introduce you to new UX methodologies that are faster and simpler.

Patrick McNeil will discuss new ways to research your users and test your interactive designs. If you want to rapidly iterate on your product, you need UX methods that are just as agile. This session will focus on practical UX methods that emphasize getting to the results so you can incorporate the findings into your designs. These methods more naturally fit into a rapid development cycle that seeks to ship updates constantly. Patrick will cover first-click tests, nano-usability testing and much more.

3 Main Take- Aways:
  1. Three simple UX methods that will transform the way you work.
  2. Future trends in micro UX methods.
  3. Guidelines for how and when to use these methods vs. traditional approaches.
