ESX 2019 Registration

Attendee Spotlight: Deborah White, Installation Manager, Wayne Alarm Systems

ESX brings together leaders in the electronic security and life safety industry — professionals who are passionate about what they do. Meet Deborah.

Q: What company do you work for and what is your job title there? I am the installation manager for Wayne Alarm Systems in MA.

Q: What are your day-to-day responsibilities? I manage all scheduling, development and oversight of our installations and staff.

Q: Why register for ESX? We always bring back new and useful information and we like to reward our employees who have worked hard over the year with attendance to this event.

Q: Have you attended ESX in the past? Yes. I have attended ESX for the last 5 years.

Q: Are you attending with any team members? Wayne Alarm sends 8-10 employees to ESX every year. We gain more experience, meet new people and are able to bring back new ideas to the office. We each attend different educational sessions, gain knowledge and then implement at least one new technique/idea each year.

Q: What are you hoping to get out of the show? We use this experience to gain a better understanding of what other companies in the space are doing. We spread out during the expo and gather as much information as we can about new and interesting products than can impact the business.

Q: What do you hope to accomplish at Wayne Alarm Systems in the next year? We have a staff of 32 in our technical department. Our goal for this year is to bring all our employees to an even higher standard — through training and education. We believe this will result in a higher-level of customer service.

Q: What is the biggest obstacle and opportunity facing the industry? I think we need to get out there as an industry and show newer generations what a great industry we are, so we don’t run out of qualified alarm technicians.

The biggest opportunity we have facing the industry is that we have new technology every day to choose from to install. People want convenience and we have the opportunity to serve newer generations with even more technology.
