You must select all choices to undertake the ‘Lower high blood pressure’ goal
  • Be physically active, e.g. walk briskly for at least 30 minutes on most, if not all, days of the week (you can do in three 10 minute walks if it’s easier)
  • Limit salty, fatty and sugary snack foods, such as crisps, cakes, pastries, biscuits, lollies and chocolate, to once a week
  • Limit processed meats, including sausages, and deli meats, such as salami. Choose deli meats with the Heart Foundation Tick
  • Limit your alcohol intake to no more than two standard drinks per day
  • Work towards achieving and maintaining a healthy body weight by setting a realistic goal as agreed with your GP or other health professional
  • Take any medication as prescribed by your GP
  • Another activity of your choosing
