Data Center Virtualization Technology Tutorials
Data center network automation is a critical technology in the evolution toward delivering cloud based applications and business models. Nuage Networks from Nokia has developed an innovative approach to virtualizing data center networks using much of the same technology that has been used to scale and virtualize IP services in global service provider networks. This tutorial will review the technology behind the Nuage Networks Virtualized Services Platform (VSP) in sufficient detail that participants understand how to develop automated policy driven network connectivity in the data center. The VSP uses MP-BGP to scale address distribution between the distributed virtual control plane components and Vx-Lan to establish tunnels over any data center IP infrastructure between virtual data plane entities running on virtual machines and interworks with cloud management systems like OperStack and VMWare.

Attendees should gain sufficient understanding of how these protocols and interfaces are employed by the VSP to automate connectivity throughout a datacenter that is using both bare metal and virtual servers operating multiple hypervisors across multiple MPLS WAN connected sites to be able to engage in discussions and participate in hands on workshops being delivered at the conference.
