2010 National SBIR Conference

2010 National SBIR Conference

April 21 - 23, 2010 at the Connecticut Convention Center in Downtown Hartford.
Pre-Conference Workshops are on April 20th

One-On-One Meetings for Small Technology Companies
As you register online for the conference you will have an opportunity to select the companies and federal agencies/labs that you would like to speak to during short, private, scheduled, meetings. The conversations should be about technology innovation. At a later date you may go back to your registration information and change your selections, if desired. It's all part of the registration process. Feel free to bring business cards, brochures and small, non-electric demonstrations to your meetings. (Your schedule will be given to you on site at the registration desk and cannot be provided earlier. We use the week prior to the conference to create the complex schedule for hundreds of attendees.)

"Speed Dating" for All Attendees
Meet with other attendees in a structured, "speed networking" activity. It's something we've done for several years -- and it will help you meet many people who you would never have met otherwise. It works so well that former attendees have asked for two sessions! Feel free to bring business cards, brochures and small, non-electric demonstrations to this activity. Be sure to practice your "Elevator Pitch" because you will only have about 3 minutes to discuss the benefits of your technologies, products and services. Need help preparing a concise, punchy Elevator Pitch? Attend our Pre-Conference Workshop, "Perfect your Pitch."
Poster Show - Day Two's Evening Gala Event
Technology companies and universities are invited to showcase their products, services and technologies in an evening activity designed to support commercialization. This event engages all attendees: investors, service providers, universities, large companies etc. We provide free poster templates and can review your posters if given enough time.
For more information about this session, click here.

Boot Camp: Additionally, consider attending our Pre-Conference Workshop that will focus on pitching to investors. Make the most out of your poster exhibit time. The cost for exhibiting is an additional $125 per organization (only one attendee coming from a company needs to pay $125). There will be an Award for the best technology.

Sponsor Exhibit Hall
We are fortunate to have SBIR Agencies, large companies, non-profits, service providers, investors, universities, etc. as sponsors. Please visit their booths during the 3-day conference. These organizations have contributed generously and come to this event because they want to "Partner for Profit" with you. This year we will provide additional access to the exhibits through the dining hall, so that attendees can visit with sponsors during meal times.

Presentations, Panel Discussions and Tracks
We are providing 3 days jam-packed with presentations and discussions on agency news, commercialization strategies, open innovation, agency innovation needs, manufacturing innovation needs, success stories, intellectual property, licensing, etc.
On the final day of the conference, there will be several tracks focused on Sustainable Energy, Aerospace/Manufacturing and Healthcare.
