17/10 - Welcome reception at The Gouvernement

The Gouvernement aan de Maas (Province House) of Limburg is an architecturally very interesting building (1986) built along the Maas and partly on an island in the river. You can visit the art collection that comprises no fewer than 1350 works. The table at which the Maastricht Treaty was signed in the Gouvernement building, in February 1992, is one of the reminders of the Euro Summit in Maastricht. 

18/10 - Festive Gala Dinner at Chateau Neercanne 

Dress code: tenue de ville and dancing shoes

Enjoy a festive gala dinner at the only terraced castle in The Netherlands, Château Neercanne commands panoramic views across the Jeker Valley and straddles two countries – Belgium and The Netherlands. Renowned for its Restaurant Château Neercanne and popular lunch spot l’Auberge, it also houses a network of Marl Caves. Join us for a festive dinner at a fairytale location where you enjoy world class food and wine, music and theatre. Bring your dancing shoes! 

19/10 Dinner Cruise on the river Maas 

Dress code: smart casual

 

Experience a four hour evening cruise on the river Maas with an exclusive dinner. Enjoy the views, the food and off course the companionship of colleagues and other guests.  During the dinner we will pass the lock of Ternaaien.

20/10 Scientific tour to Brightlands Smart Services Campus

Brightlands Smart Services Campus is part of Brightlands, an open innovation community in Limburg, The Netherlands with 29,000 innovative entrepreneurs, researchers and students. Every day they work on breakthroughs in the field of sustainability, health and digitization. At Brightlands Smart Services Campus in Heerlen they enable that knowledge in the field of data science leads to new smart digital services that improve the quality of life.

20/10 Several guided tours in the area of Maastricht.

On Thursday afternoon october 20th, we offer you a few options for a guided tour. Both interesting and pleasant, there is an option for every palate.

option 1 - the taste of Maastricht
a culinary guide walk through this old and famous city. You will learn about it and meet its inhabitants in a fun way with plenty of stops to enjoy the famous foods and drinks of Limburg.

option 2 - Tour at the Jesuit Mountain
Just outside Maastricht, near the Belgian border, we visit a beautifully worked limestone quarry, once inhabitated by Jesuits who left intricate carvings and stunningly decorated caves and halls.

option 3 - Guided Tour at The American Graveyard
This WW2 memorial is as impressive and telltaling as the ones at Normandy in France. It’s the location where the Americans gave the dead their final resting place and it’s still much visited by relatives from all over the world. 

option 4 - Boattrip on the Maas
A chance to enjoy the magnificent river and the city of Maastricht in a very relaxing way.
