Getting Around
Granlibakken is about 1.5 miles from Tahoe City along busy roads. We don't recommend walking!
Free bus service for North Tahoe and Truckee area
Tahoe Area Regional Transit (TART) provides free bus transportation in the North Lake Tahoe and Truckee area. Bus schedules change seasonally and can be found on the TART website or using Google Maps’ public transit directions.
Free in-town rideshare service
Free local on-demand transportation within the greater Tahoe City area (from Tahoma to Dollar Point) is available seasonally with TART Connect. You can arrange a TART Connect pickup in as little as 15 minutes using the TART Connect app (download for iOS or Android) or by calling 530-214-5811.

Average Early October Weather
In October nights can cool down to 38°F so make sure to have some extra sweaters and thick jackets. Daytime temperatures however are in the low 60s°F and days still offer 9 hours of daylight - absolutely perfect weather for any kind of outdoor activity such as hiking or mountain biking. There is a very rare chance of snow, so keep checking the weather as the date of the conference approaches.
