What is the schedule for the conference?

What are the check-in/out times?
Seniors should arrive Thursday between 3-5pm and Intermediates should arrive Friday between 3-5pm. All participants will depart on Sunday at 1:30pm.
To ensure a smooth and meaningful experience for everyone, we kindly ask that all attendees arrive during their designated check-in window. We’re unable to accommodate early check-ins, and arriving late may mean missing important opening activities.
We also respectfully request that participants stay through the scheduled end of the conference. Early departures create logistical challenges for our team and may impact the experience for others. (Of course, we understand that unexpected family emergencies may arise.)
Are there any options for financial assistance?
Your county may be providing financial support to attend the State Leadership Conference. Please be prepared to supply the level of support your county is providing on your registration. The State 4-H office is also offering registration fee assistance for this conference. Please complete the Financial Assistance application if you are interested.
What payment methods are accepted?
Please contact your county 4-H office to clarify payment options. If you are paying with a check, please submit payment to your county office by July 8, 2025. No personal checks from individual registrants will be accepted by the State 4-H office. Conference fee payment options include:
-
Full fee by credit card.
- Partial payment by credit card.
- If your county is collecting fees and planning to send us one county-issued check for all of that county’s participants, you can register and choose that option.
What are the track age groups and what date is the age group based on?
Intermediate Track: 11-13 years old by July 25, 2025
Senior Track: 14 - 18 years old by July 24, 2025
I’m 13 but all my friends are 14. Can I be part of the senior track instead of the intermediate track?
For this conference, we've set the age ranges for each group carefully to make sure the sessions and activities are the right fit developmentally. Because of that, we’re asking everyone to stay within their designated age group.
I’m in the senior group but have [insert commitment] and can only arrive on Friday is that ok?
We understand that you have [insert commitment]. However, due to the way the conference is structured, we’re not able to accommodate late arrivals. The first day includes essential check-in, orientation, and group-building activities that set the foundation for the rest of the event.
Are there transportation options available in getting to/from SLC?
We encourage connecting with others in your county to carpool. If you are not sure who else is attending the conference from your county, reach out to your county representative.
If there is a need to travel by plane or train we may be able to accommodate pick ups from the Sacramento Airport (SMF) or Davis Amtrak Station. Please fill out a survey and provide us with the details of your flight/train arrival and departure. We will confirm with you if we are able to accommodate your request or not.
I have dietary restrictions. Will you be able to accommodate?
Yes please put this in your registration and we will connect you with the dietary folks at UC Davis Campus Dining to ensure your dietary restrictions are met. When we are eating away from the dining commons (i.e. Friday night opening) if the food cannot meet you dietary needs we can work on getting food from the dining commons.
I’m in the Senior/Intermediate Group but I want to do an activity/workshop of another group?
To make sure everyone has the best and most appropriate experience, we ask that all participants stay with their assigned age group. Each group’s schedule is designed specifically for their age range, so joining another group’s activities isn’t possible.
