2026 State Leadership Conference Planning Team

About Planning Team

State Leadership Conference is the statewide premiere leadership overnight conference.
The planning team works together to plan all components of the conference. This is an event planning committee.

Required meetings: 6-10 virtual meetings plus subcommittee meetings as needed could be 1-2 a month October- July.

Attendance at SLC 2026 is required (arrive 1 day early and stay 1 day after as part of
planning team).


Committee Membership Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as a 4-H Youth (age 14-19)
  • 4-H Adult Volunteer
  • 4-H Staff
  • 1 year minimum of SLC attendance
  • Experience working in a youth-adult partnership on a committee.

Make It Meaningful Team

  • Recruit and coordinate presenters, speakers, and tour hosts.
  • Support development and facilitation of workshops and assemblies.
  • Ensure learning opportunities are impactful and relevant to delegates.

Make It Fun Team

  • Plan and coordinate daily recreation events and activities.
  • Create engaging, memorable experiences for delegates.
  • Support on-site implementation of entertainment and recreation.

Make It Happen Team

  • • Design and produce event materials (shirts, lanyards, programs).
  • • Manage delegate check-in and registration processes.
  • • Provide logistical support to ensure smooth event operations.
