Introduction

It is therefore a great pleasure to invite you to participate in the 48th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Association of Paediatric Anaethetists of Great Britain and Ireland.
The Conference celebrates the development and advances of the paediatric anaesthetist in the UK.

Of real importance is the contribution of industry to our specialty and we value the highly significant part these companies play to achieve the goals of this major event - updating skills and providing key knowledge at the Conference and sponsoring educational sessions throughout the meeting.

We invite your company to become involved early in the planning of the event to gain maximum benefit from your firm's association with the Conference. In return, your firm's products and services will receive high profile and contribute to your marketing initiatives.

All members of the Organising Committee look forward to your participation and will welcome you to Cardiff.

''The goal of the Association of Paediatric Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland (APAGBI) for this event is to establish a creative educational environment and to bring together all the specialties and commercial contributors involved in the promotion of excellence in the perioperative care of children. The venue, Cardiff City Hall has plenty of space for practical 'Covid' measures and is wonderful for delegates to meet colleagues and corporate executives during the event.''

Colin Dryden, Meetings Secretary and Consultant
Promotional Activity Anaesthetist, Alder Hey Children's Hospital, Liverpool

Taking Education On-line with APAGBI
APAGBI has decided to take its education and Annual Scientific Meeting online for 2022 and perhaps beyond. The plan is to establish an educational portal for its members and non-members with online events throughout the year. The APAGBI Online team is working to design an event series that offers top quality education delivered in an entertaining and inclusive way online, with high production values.

This is basically the same philosophy that the team has towards companies involved – but the team has to design a completely new way for companies to get a return on their investment: from creating visibility and accessibility throughout 2021onwards by creating valuable connections for delegates to companies through educational materials including case histories and webinars, product demonstrations and listings to advertisements.

In delivering the APAGBI Online events we have put together a production team who will design the scientific programmes and style the programmes to reflect APAGBI philosophy.  There is a technical team in place to deliver on the event days and support contributors before, during and after the event.  This includes the companies involved.

Production Values and making Contacts:

APAGBI is aiming to provide the 2022 Series with high production values. This will include three phases of production for each event: pre-event, during the programme and post (archive) periods offering timely and repeat ‘placement profile’ for companies and products, with encouragement for participants to make contact with executives via facilities incorporated into the event’s online site.
Supporting Company Profile: APAGBI’s production team welcomes discussions to plan participation for mutual professional benefit. It is important that the imagery and contributions from companies are sell received, get attention and potential evoke an ‘action’ toward your contacts.

In the first instance please contact: Peter Mainprice on 07961 356290 or via email at APA@indexcommunications.com. Online video meeting facilities are available to create planning meetings between your team and Peter.
