This award recognises and rewards innovation and encourages the demonstrated application of sustainability practices that reduce an existing building’s eco footprint.
Eligible entrants were existing developments which were less than 5 years old (or have been occupied for three years since refurbishment) which had a minimum of 12 months of operating data as at 31 December 2013 to demonstrate performance against criteria.
The award is open to members of the Property Council of Australia only and who have not won the award previously.

10-20 Bond Street underwent a $60 million refurbishment following the
relocation of its tenant, Macquarie Bank. The owners recognised this as an
opportunity to give it a new identity and make it a new landmark address.The refurbished 20 Bond Street tower has achieved a 5 star NABERS Energy
rating and a 4 star Green Star Design rating.
The refurbishment works have dramatically
enhanced the properties adaptability to changing user requirements and
technology cycles and has
achieved an outstanding reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and energy
consumption.
