Suburb of Crace (ACT)
Owned by Crace Joint Venture and nominated by CIC Australia Limited
From its inception, Crace set out to challenge people’s perceptions of
what a new suburb could be. Its masterplan combined a vibrant high density
urban core with a surrounding tranquil suburban precinct.
Crace offers the highest levels of community, sustainability and
amenity, with shopping, childcare, a community garden, medical facilities and
23 hectares of parks within the suburb. The HIA awarded the suburb GreenSmart®
accreditation, in recognition of the many sustainability initiatives, including
leading-edge water sensitive urban design.
