General Event Liability & Conduct Waiver
NAGAP is committed to providing an environment that is educational, safe, and free of harassment. Everyone who attends a NAGAP virtual or in-person event is expected to comply with this policy.
By participating in a NAGAP event, I understand and agree to the following:
- I agree to treat others with mutual respect and trust and not discriminate against others regardless of their national origin, race, religion, sex, marital status, age, sexual orientation, and physical or mental impairment.
- I agree to conduct myself in an appropriate and professional manner while attending NAGAP hosted events and in all communication to attendees and NAGAP staff.
- I give NAGAP authorization to use and post any photographs, videotapes, recordings, or any other record of its events, including full names of any participants, before, during, or after the event for promotional use, reporting to the media, and to publish on its website or blog. I am not entitled to any compensation for NAGAP’s use of my name or image.
- All who attend a NAGAP virtual or in-person event must use care and good judgment and must obey all rules and regulations of NAGAP. I will comply with all requests made by NAGAP staff. I will obey all laws of the state and local governments in which the event is occurring. NAGAP reserves the right to eject any participant who does not comply with the terms of this section. Ejected participants will not be entitled to a refund or any further recourse.
- Refunds for any reason will be at the discretion of NAGAP.
- I will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless NAGAP and its organizers, directors, employees, consultants, agents, and affiliates for any legal action due to my conduct or presence at a NAGAP event.
- I freely assume any risk of harm or injury to me that my attendance or participation in the event may cause, and I release NAGAP from all liabilities, costs, and damages that I may incur thereby.
- NAGAP events are provided with no special warranty, either express or implied. The NAGAP organizers, including but not limited to, the staff, committee members, advisors, and sponsors of NAGAP events assume no liability for any loss, theft, damage, or injury to property or persons, including death, whether arising in contract, negligence, equity, or otherwise.
- NAGAP reserves the right to exclude anyone from becoming a NAGAP participant should they choose not to accept this Agreement.
By registering I agree to the aforementioned code of conduct and terms of participation.
