About the Workshop
As healthcare continues to be more data driven, professionals who possess knowledge and skills in data analytics will be in demand. Prepare to advance your career or enter into this growing field by attending the Health Data Analytics Workshop.
The two-day interactive workshop is a critical step toward attaining the internationally-recognized AHIMA Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA®) credential and to becoming a data analyst expert. The workshop covers the principles of health data analytics (intermediate and advanced level applications), AHIMA best practices, and the domains in the CHDA certification exam.
Individuals who earn the CHDA certification validate their ability to acquire, manage, analyze, interpret, and transform data into accurate, consistent, and timely information, while balancing the "big picture" strategic vision with day-to-day details, and are recognized as industry leaders in health data analysis.
Currently, more than 300 people are CDHA-certified.
The domains covered in the workshop and the CDHA exam are:
- Data Management - how to match data definitions and structure to an organization's strategy and priorities; how to establish uniform data definitions from key sources; and how to integrate data from internal and external sources while maintaining the quality of the data
- Data Analytics - how to analyze clinical, financial and operational data and interpret and display the results
- Data Reporting - how to develop and present routine and ad-hoc reports in a clear and concise manner and provide recommendations based on the reports
