Flight Times

Flights are not included in the price for the cruise, so you will be on your own to make those arrangements. However, here are some things to consider when you book your flights to and from Florida.

The Miami airport would be most convenient since it is close to the cruise port (approx. 8.4 miles). However, you may find the flight times into Ft. Lauderdale better suited from your home airport. It’s 26 miles from Ft. Lauderdale airport to the pier in Miami, and the estimated transfer time is about 35 minutes. However, the traffic in both the Ft. Lauderdale and Miami areas can be extremely heavy; leave at least 45 to 60 minutes for travel time. Additionally, the traffic coming into the pier to make drop-offs will be heavy. We strongly recommend arriving a day early in case you have any travel delays.

Also keep in mind that although the cruise will return to Miami at approximately 6:00 a.m., there are various protocols, including customs clearance, that the ship must pass to be cleared to allow passengers to disembark.

Explore Miami

If you are looking to extend your stay and explore Miami, there are a lot of places to consider.

Downtown Miami is a popular tourist destination near Port Miami and perfect for a pre- or post-cruise visit. The nearby Bayfront Park hosts fun outdoor events and musical performances.

If you are interested in a different vibe, Miami has several other areas that are likely to give you just what you are looking for.

Coconut Grove

If you are looking for a laidback, peaceful area away from the beaches, this is the spot for you. Coconut Grove is one of the oldest parts of Miami with fashionable boutiques and great restaurants.

Brickell

This is the new, vibrant part of Miami and convenient to the air and cruise ports. For a quieter alternative to Downtown Miami but with plenty of hotels, shopping, restaurants and rooftop bars, Brickell is the place to go.

South Beach

For a more lively part of Miami with a clean beach and plenty of nightlife, boutiques, restaurants and nightclubs, check out South Beach. It has a little bit of everything.
