What if I need a cabin for three or four people?

The cabins in Modern Woodmen’s block are intended to accommodate no more than two guests. If you are looking for a triple or quad cabin, indicate your preference during registration and someone will reach out to you via phone to help you book your cabin as part of the Modern Woodmen group.

What if I book my cabin through a different site?

It may be tempting to book outside the Modern Woodmen group if you find what appears to be a cheaper deal. However, keep in mind that if you book outside the Modern Woodmen group, whether through Royal Caribbean or another travel site or agency, you will not be considered part of the Modern Woodmen group and will not be able to attend the exclusive events or group dinner, participate in the onboard fundraiser, or receive the member discount or onboard credit.

The cost for the Modern Woodmen group includes these exclusive extras plus all taxes and gratuities as well as the Deluxe Beverage Package and the VOOM internet package (based on double occupancy). If purchased separately, these packages would be more expensive. In addition, the Modern Woodmen group has an onsite representative from 3D Cruise Partners who can help answer questions and resolve issues that arise onboard. While you may think you have found a better deal, it may not be the case once you add in all these extras.

What is included in the cost?

Prices include taxes, port fees and gratuities. Much of the food onboard is also included – plus this price includes the Deluxe Beverage Package and the Full Voyage Internet Package (based on double occupancy).

Transportation to and from Miami and other expenses are on your own.

What are the exclusive Modern Woodmen extras?

When you book your trip with Modern Woodmen, you not only enjoy discounted rates and hassle-free planning but also exclusive extras:

$500 is due when you register to reserve your cabin.

When is the full payment due?

Final payments are due December 1, 2022. Unless you call to make payments over the phone, Modern Woodmen will charge your card on file by the due date.

Can I purchase travel insurance?

Yes. Royal Caribbean offers travel protection to passengers.  Pricing is per person and determined by the type of cabin you are staying in.

If you would like to purchase travel protection, everyone in the cabin must purchase it, and you have until Dec. 1, 2022, to purchase this travel protection.

If you are a New York resident, you cannot purchase the travel protection; however, Royal Caribbean recommends an alternative option for anyone interested from any state .

What does the travel insurance cover?

What if I didn't donate $10 for the fundraiser yet but want to participate?

You have until Dec. 1, 2022, to donate for this event. You can modify your registration prior to that date to include it, or you can call Modern Woodmen’s Fraternal Department at 800-322-9805 to add it to your registration. It is against Royal Caribbean’s policy to accept donations onboard.

Pre-Trip Planning

Do I need a passport for this trip?

Royal Caribbean strongly recommends getting a passport. However, United States citizens on cruises that begin and end at the same port in the United States can use an original government-issued picture ID (i.e. driver's license) AND an original government-issued birth certificate or original Naturalization Certificate.

Do I need a COVID-19 vaccine or test prior to travel?

We strongly recommend you stay updated on the COVID-19 requirements to sail by visiting Royal Caribbean’s Healthy Sail Center. No one can predict what will be required next year, but the Healthy Sail Center will always have the most up-to-date requirements.

Are cruises safe?

Royal Caribbean’s Healthy Sail Center explains ways Royal Caribbean is keeping their ships sparkling clean and healthy, from sanitized surfaces to air filtration to their newly upgraded medical center.

What time do I need to be in Miami for the cruise departure?

More specific instructions will be communicated closer to the cruise date; however, if you are flying, your latest arrival time into the Miami airport on Feb. 6 should be 1:00 p.m., and your latest arrival time into the Ft. Lauderdale airport should be 12:00 p.m. We strongly recommend arriving a day early in case you have any travel delays.

What time will we return to Miami on Feb. 10?

Although the cruise will return to Miami at approximately 6:00 a.m., there are various protocols, including customs clearance, that the ship must pass to be cleared to allow passengers to disembark. Your earliest departure flight from the Miami airport on Feb. 10 should be 11:00 a.m., and your earliest departure flight from the Ft. Lauderdale airport should be 12:00 p.m.

What airport should I fly into?

The Miami airport would be the most convenient since it is close to the cruise port (approx. 8.4 miles). However, you may find the flight times into Ft. Lauderdale better suited from your home airport. It’s 26 miles from Ft. Lauderdale airport to the pier in Miami, and the estimated transfer time is about 35 minutes. However, the traffic in both the Ft. Lauderdale and Miami areas can be extremely heavy; leave at least 45 to 60 minutes for travel time. Additionally, the traffic coming into the pier to make drop-offs will be heavy. We strongly recommend arriving a day early in case you have any travel delays.

What do I need to know if I am driving to Miami?

If you are driving, be sure to consult Royal Caribbean's FAQs for directions as well as parking and terminal information.
