Not to worry! While registering for the event, please indicate what your restrictions are and we will work to best accommodate your needs.

What date/time should I plan to arrive?
All attendees can arrive at any time on Thursday, August 15. A fun Havana Night reception will be held at 7:00pm. Feel free to dress for the theme or casually (even in your travel clothes!).

What date/time should I plan to depart?
All attendees can depart at any time on Sunday, August 18. Please note: Airport shuttles will be running continuously throughout the day. It takes approximately 30-45 minutes to get to the Miami International Airport and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

Which hotel am I staying in?
All guests will be staying at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel. Hotel confirmations will be sent within one week of the meeting to the email that you register with.

I want to extend my stay. How do I go about reserving a room?
While registering for the event you will be prompted with a question about extending your stay. Please indicate on your registration what dates you would like to arrive and depart so that arrangements for you can be made accordingly. Please note that any pre or post extensions are based on availability and at your own expense ($199 per night plus $10 per day resort fee and applicable taxes).

How do I find my shuttle when I arrive at the airport?
While registering for the event please be sure to include your cell phone number. You will receive a text message upon landing with instructions to meet your airport greeter. Upon arrival into Miami International Airport and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Aiport, airport concierges with signage will greet guests in the baggage claim area of each terminal. Once all luggage has been collected, airport concierges will escort guests outside where drivers will be standing by for curbside pick-up.

If you have a special transportation request, please contact Hannah Pfeffer.

How do I book my flight for the Retreat?
Please see the HOTEL & TRAVEL page for more details.

What are the costs covered for this Retreat?
ADMI covers costs associated with the meeting itself; including hotel accommodations, group meals, entertainment/events, and ground transportation. Practice Owners and Specialists cover their own air travel, and MCD/Associate air travel is also generously covered by the Practice Owner.

Outside of those things, regular expense policy applies (the hotel will ask you for a credit card at check in for any incidentals).

MCD/Associates: Am I getting paid to attend this meeting or do I request time off?
If you work in a POP office, your Practice Owner is supporting your attendance at this event by covering your air travel expenses and paying you as though you are in the office. Doctors in LGP offices are compensated in the same way.

Can I bring a guest to join me?
Spouses and significant others are more than welcome to join you at the hotel and take advantage of all the wonderful amenities offered. However, please note that due to meeting size, we are unable to accommodate guests at any company events, including our evening events (Welcome Party, Pearly White Party, ASPY Awards).

I am having trouble registering. What should I do?
  1. Did you recently get married or change your name? It could be that your information has not yet been updated in our HR system. For example, if you recently got married, try using your maiden name email to register.
  2. Make sure you are using your Aspen Dental email address.
  3. Close out of all internet browsers and try typing in www.poweredbyyou2019.com.
  4. Reach out to the Event Manager, Hannah Pfeffer.
What is the dress code for the Retreat?
We have an agenda packed full of exciting events! First – we expect the outdoor temperatures to be in the upper-80s / low-90s. We will be indoors during the day and outside at night!

Here’s an idea of what you should wear:
  • Thursday Evening: Come dressed to experience "Havana Nights" outside in the beautiful Miami heat. Think cool, Havana-inspired casual: gentlemen, guayabera-style shirts and shorts are perfectly appropriate, and ladies, dresses, shorts and rompers are all great options! Portions of this event will be on a lawn, so flat-soled shoes may be preferred.
  • Friday Business Sessions: Attire for all meetings will be business casual. Remember, meeting rooms can often feel chillier than expected, so you may want to bring a light jacket or sweater.
  • Friday Evening: The "Pearly White Party" means come dressed in all white, ready for a good time on the iconic Miami Beach. This event will be on the beach, which means in the sand, so plan your footwear appropriately.
  • Saturday Breakout Sessions: Attire for all meetings will be business casual.
  • Saturday Evening: This year we are "Powered by You" so come dressed in your finest cocktail attire to celebrate the successes from this year.
