Dear Kresge Partners and Colleagues,
We are so looking forward to seeing everyone at the 3rd annual Climate Resilient & Equitable Water Systems (CREWS) Initiative Convening! Our theme this year is “deepening our collective commitment to equity, climate resilience, collaboration, service & impact”. Please save the date to share three days with us in Richmond, Virginia on October 15-17, 2019 where we will honor the progress we have all made in the last year, strive to strengthen our collective resolve for the work ahead, and celebrate and contribute to our host city!
As a reminder, the objectives of this convening are to...
1. Promote grantee sharing of resources & learning
2. Ensure representation from water leaders across sectors
3. Strengthen the capacity of CREWS Grantees to use climate science and equity analysis tools in their work
4. Celebrate progress and acknowledge the work ahead
5. Leave the Richmond community better off than when CREWS arrived
It is also my pleasure to welcome back the 'dream team', with a couple of new players, that helped shape last year's convening and who will help create a safe but bold space for us to come together.
- Alix, Isabella, and Robin from Special D Events that will help coordinate all air travel, on and off-site logistics, reimbursements, and venue relations.
- Kate and Madeline from Catalyst Collaboratives that will facilitate and guide us through our days together.
- Julia, Kheira, Miko, and Fred from Arabella Advisors that will help us 'learn and share' in real time.
- Lois, Hugh, Jessica, Jill, Rebecca, and Shamar from Kresge will be pillars of support as well.
- All of you - new and existing grantee partners, wonderful guests from Richmond, VA, philanthropic partners and other friends.
