Information to help you plan your trip and important COVID-19 updates.

COVID-19 Statement

Update October 4, 2021: After careful consideration and after hearing from many of our registered participants that they are able, willing, and ready to meet in person, Textile Exchange is moving forward with meeting in person in Dublin, Ireland, as part of its hybrid Textile Sustainability Conference, on November 15-19! A virtual format of the in-person event is also available for those who prefer to attend online, and the SAC Annual Meeting will be virtual-only on November 10-11. Register here for both events.

The health and safety of participants, convention center staff, the Textile Exchange team, and Dublin residents continue to be our highest priority. We will be complying with the government of Ireland's protocols for safe indoor events, along with additional criteria we are implementing for all participants' health, safety, and comfort. As of the date of this update, these protocols will include:

  • Limited capacity to ensure proper physical/social distancing
  • Proof of immunity
    • Full vaccination
    • Proof of recovery within six months
  • Face masks that cover the nose and mouth
  • A negative COVID test before the first entrance to the building (A negative COVID test is currently not required to enter Ireland for vaccinated travelers. We are exploring options for making this easy for attendees.)
  • Advance sign up for a check-in time to ensure adequate physical spacing
  • Daily symptom-free confirmation via an online form provided by Textile Exchange
  • Advance online registration and payment required
  • For contact tracing purposes, Textile Exchange is required to retain the names and contact details of all delegates for 28 days.

Health and safety protocols are subject to change; Textile Exchange will always err on the side of caution. Final protocols will be communicated on November 1.

Dublin Weather

Ireland in November will have an average of 49°F to 54°F (9.5°C to 12°C). We highly recommend that you carry heavy, warm winter wear to stay warm, comfortable and safe. The weather outdoors can be heavily chilly, especially during the nights, and it is always recommended that you carry warming accessories like scarves, gloves or hats whenever you tread outside.
