The La Canada Parent Education Program is a ministry committed to drawing families to Christ, His Church, and each other. We strive to encourage loving and effective parenting by teaching concepts of human development, strategies for building stronger families, and an appreciation for the uniqueness of both parent and child. In addition, we seek to create a warm, caring community of faith within each class which will provide meaningful support and encouragement to parents in their parenting journeys.

Entering its 37th year, the Parent Education program offers something for everyone. For children, it is an opportunity to spend one-on-one time with mom or dad, while exploring a rich and varied environment with children their own age. For parents, there are discussions on pertinent parenting issues led by a staff of caring teachers specially trained in child development. Teacher assistants, who are also qualified in child development, work closely with the children facilitating confidence and comfort during class and discussion times. Parent Ed. is a program that nurtures parents and children in a Christian atmosphere. One of the greatest benefits is the encouragement and support parents receive on their parenting journey. We offer weekly morning classes for parents and their children ranging in ages from infants to five-years-old. Parent-0nly classes are offered for parents of school-age children ranging from K through Teens.
