Registration
for Te Rūnanga members attending Indigenous Nurses Conference and Hui ā-Tau (including the Return of Te Akenehi Hei Memorial Award)

The following registration option is ONLY available to current financial members of Te Rūnanga o Aotearoa NZNO and you MUST attend all three days of the Indigenous Nurses Conference and Hui ā-Tau from Friday 5 to Sunday 7 August. 


This registration option includes:

    • Travel for members outside of Auckland

    Accommodation in Auckland as required

  • Two day registration for the Indigenous Nurses Aotearoa Conference 2016
  • Catering from Friday 5 to Sunday 7 August

 

Who is a member?

Members of Te Rūnanga o Aotearoa are members of the New Zealand Nurses Organisation who identify as Māori on their membership record.

 

Members who apply for this registration option will go through an application process based on criteria outlined in the registration terms and conditions

 

Your NZNO membership number is required for the registration process. If you do not know your membership number or need to check your membership status, please call the NZNO member support centre on 0800 28 38 48.

 

PAYMENT TERMS:

  • All fees include Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 15% and are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD).

  • Registration fees are payable online by VISA, Mastercard or by direct credit.

  • Registrations are not fully confirmed until payment has been received.

  • Payment by invoice is required with 14 days from the date of registration

  • Online credit card payments are processed via DPS, our secure payment gateway.

The expectations of attendance at Hui ā-Tau and conference 2016 are:

  • All Members agree to participate fully and must attend the Conference and Hui ā-Tau for its duration from Friday 5 August to Sunday 7 August 2016
  • Once flights are booked, they become non-transferable. Any changes will be at the members’ expense
  • If member wish to extend their visit beyond the dates of the Hui, they must advise the conference organiser on the travel registration page of the registration form. Members are responsible for accommodation, any additional flight costs and Auckland transfers
  • Late cancellation or failure to attend may result in the repayment of part or all of the costs of attendance to NZNO
  • There is an expectation that all members attend Te Rūnanga o Aotearoa regional Hui on Sunday 7 August 2016

 

TE RŪNANGA O AOTEAROA MEMBER HUI Ā-TAU REGISTRATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

Member registrations for the ‘Te Rūnanga member Hui ā-Tau’ registration option are received on an ‘application’ status only. Member registrations will be accepted or declined by Te Poari o Te Rūnanga o Aotearoa. Members will be notified in writing within seven days if their application to attend has been accepted or declined.

 

MEMBER REGISTRATION CANCELLATION POLICY

Members who cancel their registration after 7:00pm, Friday 22 July 2016, will be liable for the full cost of their travel. All cancellations must be notified in writing to the Hui Organiser, by emailing hui@nzno.org.nz.

 

INDIGENOUS NURSES AOTEAROA CONFERENCE AND HUI A-TAU REGISTRATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

All registrations are payable online by credit card at the time of registration. All cancellations up to 5:00pm Friday 22 July 2016 will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee. Registrations cancelled after 5:00pm, Friday 22 July 2016 are non-refundable. All cancellations must be notified in writing to the Hui Organiser, by emailing hui@nzno.org.nz.

 

EMAIL POLICY: By registering for the Indigenous Nurses Aotearoa Conference 2016, you agree that Te Rūnanga o Aotearoa NZNO may send you information and regular updates regarding this and future events on similar topics via email to the email address provided by you in your registration details.  However, you may opt out of receiving communications from Te Rūnanga o Aotearoa NZNO any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link in any emails that are sent to you.

 

INSURANCE POLICY:  Insurance is the responsibility of each delegate.  Te Rūnanga o Aotearoa NZNO will not be liable for any eventuality involving death, illness, injury, accident or financial loss to any person attending the Indigenous Nurses Aotearoa Conference 2016.    

 

PHOTOGRAPHER: A professional photographer will be engaged to record this event. It is understood by those participating in these photographs that, by doing so, permission is automatically granted to NZNO or any third party acting on its behalf, to use, publish and/or copyright photographic portraits or pictures taken of or including, you in printed and/or electronic marketing material including, but not limited to, publications, brochures, advertising, proposals, media announcements, NZNO social media channels and NZNO web publishing for an indefinite period. Furthermore, you give permission to examine, approve and release the completed products on your behalf.

 

You agree to release the New Zealand Nurses Organisation or any third party acting on its behalf from any liability relating to the quality or appearance of the photographic portraits or pictures taken, whether intentional or otherwise, including any claim for libel or invasion of privacy.

 

The image will remain the property of the New Zealand Nurses Organisation and will not be released to any other organisation or individual without your prior permission.

 


 



Accommodation
for Te Rūnanga members attending Hui ā-Tau
Accommodation for members will be provided with the accommodation providers below. A subsidy will be provided for hotel accommodation options. The balance payable by members is shown below in the room rate cost and will be responsibility of members as indicated below. Please note that allocation for each option is limited.

Members are free to make alternate accommodation arrangements, however this will be at members cost.

Breakfast will be provided at the Holiday Inn each morning. 
There is a maximum of 60 spaces at the marae, first in first served.

Twin share and single room accommodation will be subsidised by NZNO. 
The balance as show in the room rate cost is to be paid by members.

Travel
Travel is provided for Te Rūnanga members who reside outside of Auckland, register before 22 July 2016 and commit to attending all sessions from Friday 5 to Sunday 7 August. The type of travel available will be determined by the town in which you reside.


Travel by Air
Air travel is only available to members who reside more than a 3 ½ hour drive from Auckland. Flight times will be confirmed by the Hui Organiser and will be booked based on arriving to Auckland for the pōwhiri on Friday 7 August, and to depart after the poroporoaki on Sunday 97August.

Please note:
  • If your airport is not listed, you will need to choose another method of travel
  • If a request is made to change flights after they have been confirmed, members will be liable for change fees and any fare difference

Travel by Van
This is available to members who reside outside of Auckland but within a 3 ½ hour drive of Auckland. Members will be allocated into vans based on the cities in which they reside. Vans will be arranged for the following areas:

  • Tai Tokerau
  • Hamilton
  • Tauranga
  • Rotorua

Travel to Auckland by car
Car pooling will be welcomed. A koha towards petrol costs will be provided for cars travelling from outside of Auckland region with three or more Te Rūnanga members as passengers for all three days of Hui.


Transfers
Buses will be provided to take members between Auckland airport, the venue, hotels and marae listed above. Transfers are only available for members who register under this category.
