Call for abstracts


Te Rūnanga o Aotearoa (NZNO) is pleased to announce a call for abstracts for the 2016 Annual Conference, Whiri: Binding Strengths, Shifting Struggles, Realising our Freedom, Mana Māori Motuhake.

The conference theme builds on last year's them and continues to challenge our collective responsibility to protect our right to good health and wellbeing.

We welcome your ideas, innovation and expertise.

The call for abstracts is now open.

VENUE: Holiday Inn, 2 Ascot Road, Mangere, Auckland, New Zealand

ABSTRACT THEMES:

  • Indigenous Models of Holistic Health (Tino Rangatiratanga)
  • Indigenous Models of Leadership

CONCURRENT SESSION

Papers are presented orally with the presenter being allocated a maximum of 20 minutes for presentation followed by ten minutes for discussion and/or questions.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

The deadline for abstract submissions is midnight, Friday 27 May 2016.

The abstract must be no more than 300 words including title and author's information.

Abstracts are to be submitted by email to hui@nzno.org.nz by Friday 27 May 2016.

Abstracts must be in English and/or Te Reo Maori.

Successful applicants will be notified by 8 June 2016.

In case of an emergency requiring withdrawal from the programme.

When you submit an abstract proposal, you are making a professional commitment to attend the conference if your abstract is accepted.

if a presenter who has accepted to the programme is not able to attend the conference, please contact the Hui Organiser as soon as possible.

While emergencies do happen, late cancellations or no shows is unfair on our members and conference attendees who have made a commitment to attend based on the inclusion of accepted abstracts to the conference programme.
