Continuing Education

The 2020 ACMA Virtual National Conference will offer continuing education (CE/CME credits) and learning for health care professionals with sessions featuring the following practice care settings:

  • Acute Care
  • Ambulatory
  • Behavioral Health
  • Home Health and Hospice
  • Long Term and Skilled Care
  • Pediatrics
  • Primary Care
  • UM / Medical Director / PA
  • Rehabilitation

Conference Objectives:

1. Identify barriers and apply approaches to engage physicians, case managers, transitions of care partners and
    interdisciplinary team members to effect health care change.

2. Recognize opportunities and apply strategies to coordinate patient-centered and sustainable longitudinal care.

3. Implement approaches to promote patient engagement and self-management.

4. Recognize common barriers and apply strategies to manage complex relationships between health care stakeholders,
    patients, families and providers.

5. Apply best practices, standards and tools to consistently validate and justify medical necessity, appropriateness of level of
   care and resource utilization.

We anticipate that you may earn up to the following continuing education (CE/CME hours) for the Pre-Conference and Main Conference. 

  • 24.0  |  Nursing and Social Work Contact Hours (based on 50-minute hour)
  • 20.0  |  Nursing and Social Work Contact Hours (based on 60-minute hour)
  • 20.0  |  ACM Recertification Credits
  • 20.0  |  CMAC Recertification Credits
  • 20.0  |  AMA PRA Category 1 Credits

Please Note:

Individuals are responsible for contacting their professional organizations and/or licensing authorities to obtain information on licensure, continuing education requirements and requirements for acceptable continuing education courses, programs and sponsors. Individuals are also responsible for verifying that the approving organizations listed above are accepted by their professional organizations and/or licensing authorities. Unless otherwise noted on the CE certificate, individuals are responsible for submitting their earned continuing education credits/certificates to the appropriate professional organizations and/or licensing authorities to maintain their individual certification(s), recertification(s), licensure(s), etc.

As required by the approval agencies listed above, ACMA maintains records and CE certificates for all educational activities for a minimum of seven years after the educational activity concludes.
The 2020 ACMA National Conference was approved for Live Session format. ACMA is in the process of applying and making sure the sessions meet requirements to be approved for enduring CEs with the following approving entities: NASW & ASWB for social workers and PIM/ANCC for nurses and physicians. Updates will be made to this page as they become available.
