Continuing Education

The 2020 ACMA Virtual National Conference will offer continuing education (CE/CME credits) and learning for health care professionals with sessions featuring the following practice care settings:

  • Acute Care
  • Ambulatory
  • Behavioral Health
  • Home Health and Hospice
  • Long Term and Skilled Care
  • Pediatrics
  • Primary Care
  • UM / Medical Director / PA
  • Rehabilitation

Conference Objectives:

1. Identify barriers and apply approaches to engage physicians, case managers, transitions of care partners and
    interdisciplinary team members to effect health care change.

2. Recognize opportunities and apply strategies to coordinate patient-centered and sustainable longitudinal care.

3. Implement approaches to promote patient engagement and self-management.

4. Recognize common barriers and apply strategies to manage complex relationships between health care stakeholders,
    patients, families and providers.

5. Apply best practices, standards and tools to consistently validate and justify medical necessity, appropriateness of level of
   care and resource utilization.

EARN UP TO THE FOLLOWING CE HOURS

We anticipate that you may earn up to the following continuing education (CE/CME hours) through a combination of live and enduring sessions via the virtual conference.


•   30.0 | Nursing and Social Work Contact Hours (based on 50-minute hour)
•   25.0 | Nursing and Social Work Contact Hours (based on 60-minute hour)
•   25.0 | ACM Recertification Credits
•   25.0 | CMAC Recertification Credits
•   36.0 | AMA PRA Category 1 Credits

ACM & CMAC – This CE activity is approved by the American Case Management Association (ACMA) for ACM & CMAC Recertification credits.

CCM
Through a collaborative agreement with the Commission for Case Manager Certification (CCMC), the virtual conference sessions and corresponding credits are acceptable for CCM renewal.

 

STEPS TO EARN CEs

Sessions are offered via live streaming and pre-recorded webinars. Per continuing education regulations, you MUST complete the full length of each session in order to qualify for the CE credit. Within each session there is a Finish button, Clicking this button is a REQUIRED step to initiate the post-test and or evaluation into your evaluation account. 

You are able to complete the post-test and evaluations after each session or after you have attended several sessions, by logging into your evaluation portal, HERE. If you do not have an account, the system will prompt you to create one. Please use the email address used for registration.

Nursing Continuing Education

ACMA is an approved continuing education provider through the following boards/entities.

•    Florida Board of Nursing (Provider #50-3523)

 

ANCC NURSING CONTINUING EDUCATION

•   The maximum number of hours awarded for this Continuing Nursing Education activity is 30.8 contact hours. Individual activity contact hours is listed in each session description.

•   Live Stream Sessions: Listed on Pages 4, 5 & 6 of this document.The maximum number of hours awarded for these Continuing Nursing Education activities are 3.2 contact hours and is listed in the individual session description.

SOCIAL WORK CONTINUING EDUCATION

ACMA is an approved continuing education provider through the following boards/entities.

•    Maryland Board of Social Work (Authorized Sponsor of Category l & II credit hours)

•    National Association of Social Workers {NASW}

•    These conference sessions are approved by the Association of Social Work Boards(ASWB)Approved Continuing Education(ACE)program to be offered by American Case Management Association as individual conference sessions. Individual courses, not providers, are approved at the course level. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. ACE approval period and individual session information is listed below with the applicable session. PHYSICIAN CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION

•   The Postgraduate Institute for Medicine designates this enduring material for a maximum of 32.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
