The Health Education and Training Institute (HETI), Northern NSW Local Health District and our Congress partners* are pleased to welcome you to the 8th Rural Health and Research Congress, to be held in the vibrant rural town of Lismore, 16 - 18 October 2019.

Over three days, the Congress will deliver diverse, inspiring and thought-provoking keynote presentations, workshops and discussions on the theme Connecting Communities. The program centres on the wellbeing of our rural people and communities, and will be explored through six streams:

  • Determinants of Health - Deeper Insights
  • The Rural Experience
  • Productive Partnerships
  • Our Rural Workforce - Now and Future
  • Creativity - Out of the Box
  • Futureproofing Rural Health

This key event on the rural health calendar is for rural and remote clinicians, researchers, service providers and other health professionals to share their knowledge and experience, and build networks across the state.

We hope you can join us, and we look forward to welcoming you to beautiful Lismore.
