Internet Access
All participants will receive access to the wireless network in designated areas of the hotel. A password card and map will be provided in your registration packet.
Name Badges
Please wear your name badge at all times. Badges are required for admission to technical sessions and social events.
No Smoking
There is no smoking at the Hyatt Hotel, and there is no smoking allowed in San Francisco within 10 feet of a building's entrance or window.
Refreshment Breaks
Refreshment breaks will occur every morning and afternoon during breaks in the Technical Sessions. Coffee, tea, juice and light snacks will be available.
Lunches
Lunch is not provided during the Symposium. Participants are encouraged to explore a wide variety of restaurants and food courts. A map highlighting restaurants and food courts will be provided.
Weather
The combination of cold ocean water and high heat of the California mainland create the city’s characteristic fog that can cover the entire city all day during the spring and early summer. The fog is less pronounced in the eastern neighborhoods, in the late summer, and during the fall, which are the warmest months of the year.
The dry period of May – October is mild to warm, with average high temperatures of 64 – 70° F (13 -18° C) and lows of 46 – 51° F (8 -11° C). So, remember to bring a jacket because the mornings and evenings are typically chilly.
