Delta and United Airlines are the official carriers of the AAR & SBL Annual Meetings. Budget is the preferred rental car supplier. For the benefit of our conference attendees, a discount is available and is valid a few days before and after the Annual Meeting ends, depending on carrier. To take advantage of these special discounted fares, you can call or make reservations directly through their respective websites listed below. Discounts do not apply to certain restricted fares and exclude sale fare inventories.

It is necessary for those entering the United States to clear customs and immigration. Visitors from Canada and Mexico must present a passport in order to enter the United States. Visitors from the 38 countries that are part of the Visa Waiver Program must have an e-Passport (embedded with an electronic chip) in order to skip the visa process. Please be prepared. Non–U.S. citizens should inquire about possible visa requirements from their own country. Official letters of invitation to the Annual Meeting to support visa applications are available. Please indicate during registration in the “Letter of Invitation” portion if you would like to request a letter. . If you have questions, you may e-mail reg@aarweb.org or annualmeeting@sbl-site.org after you have completed registration to obtain more details about the information required.
Please note that the AAR and SBL will fully refund registration fees with no penalty to AAR or SBL members in good standing whose visa applications are denied or who are otherwise restricted from entering the United States. For full refund, members must provide a copy of the visa rejection or other written proof of travel restriction.

Rapid Transit Train – The ‘T’
There are a few ways to get from the airport on (mostly) the subway. The Silver Line is a bus, but all other colored routes on this page are trains. Click here for more information. Please use a mapping program or contact your hotel to determine the best route to get there. A one-way fare is $2.75. More information can be found here.
Bus
The Back Bay Logan Express runs from the Hynes Convention Center to the airport every twenty minutes and costs $7.50. It is a blue shuttle with orange accents. More information is here: https://www.massport.com/logan-airport/to-and-from-logan/logan-express/back-bay.
Taxis
Taxis are available at each terminal on Arrivals Level (curbside). Fares to the Hynes average at $33, plus tip not during rush hour.
Shared-Ride Car Service (such as Uber or Lyft)
Boston (BOS) is one of the airports that allows shared-ride services to pick up at the airport. Each of the four terminals has a designated area for pickup. Click here for more information.
Parking at the Hynes Convention Center
The Convention Center
is located at 900 Boylston Street. Within a three-block walk of the Hynes Convention Center are numerous parking garages totaling over 4,400 spaces. There is also limited meter parking available around the Hynes and adjacent streets. Click here for nearby garages.
Shuttle from Hotel to Convention Center
There will be a shuttle to and from the Hynes Convention Center to the following select hotels: Courtyard Downtown, Doubletree Downtown, Hyatt Regency, Park Plaza, and the Revere Hotel. Attendees who book one of these hotels through the AAR & SBL registration process will receive a 7-day T (subway) pass on a first-come, first serve basis.
