Are mayors required to attend?
Cities United is a mayor-led initiative. Mayors are highly encouraged to attend to participate in programming geared especially for them. Mayors will have the opportunity to spend time with other mayors, hearing from national experts and learning more about effective violence prevention efforts around the country, while focusing on the unique concerns of mayors involved in this work. Mayors are not required to attend in order for their city teams to participate.
