One Day Pre-Congress Science Meeting
To be held alongside the World STI & HIV Congress 2015
Sunday 13 September 2015
Call for Abstracts!
The theme for the 2015 One Day Pre-Congress Science Program is: Innovations in Program Design for Sexual and Reproductive Health.
The first half of the day will focus on the prevention program (PPD) including discussions on program efficiencies; program integration (opportunities and challenges); primary care; key populations; programme synergies and comparisons of strengths and weaknesses of a “populations”
versus a “services” focus. We are particularly interested in interactions
among these distinct aspects of program design and effects of context on the
issues listed above.
The second half of the day will focus on hot topics in epidemiology as (and because) they impact prevention program design (PPD), including discussions on:
- Concentrated versus Generalized epidemics
- Epidemic types
- Epidemic phases
- Issues of concentration and clustering
- Networks and hot spots
- The role of key populations in epidemics
Please submit a one page abstract of the work you would like to present to pbj9@cdc.gov with carbon copy to soa1@cdc.gov by close of business Thursday 30 April 2015. We will get back to you with review and results by Friday 15 May 2015.
Our best regards
