Attendance & Registration

Q: What are the expectations for attending the AlixPartners 2024 Americas Business Meeting?

A: You are required to attend all general meetings, workshops, and any specific training that has been organized for your Major, Minor, or Function. These are considered part of your work duties and should be treated as such.

Professional behavior: Please use good judgment and show professionalism while at this meeting. We rely on you to demonstrate our Core Values, particularly Common Sense and Personal Respect, in relation to social activities in Miami. This includes each of us being very mindful of our alcohol consumption. Behavior that is not in line with our values has no place at the meeting. If you see a colleague making poor decisions or needing assistance, please help him or her. If you feel you are not able to assist, please contact our security team or a member of the AlixPartners Events Team.

Q: What if I cannot attend the meeting?

A: We hope you make every effort to join us. If you decide not to attend, please officially decline by clicking the link in your invitation email.

Q: How do I submit changes to a registration form already processed?

A: Once your registration is complete, you can contact the AlixPartners Events Team at AP-TeamMeeting@alixpartners.com.

Time & Expenses

Q: How do I record my time?

A: Use the code below to record your time at the meeting. You will need to enter the relevant company code for your country.

Employees should enter the time they spend in meeting sessions. After-hours events for which attendance is not mandatory, like meals, need not be reported. Employees should report their time traveling to the meeting regardless of whether travel occurs during or outside of work hours.

Non-exempt (hourly) employees will be paid for all meeting and travel time. Non-mandatory events like meals and evening activities are not compensated and should not be reported as hours worked.

Q: What are the guidelines for expenses?

A: We plan a comprehensive meeting with plenty of snacks, meals, and beverages. Any expenses for food or beverage (including alcohol) you order or purchase while in Miami will not be reimbursed by the Firm and should not be included on your expense report.

General Travel Information

Q: Which airport will I fly into? Will ground transportation be provided?

A: You will fly into either the Miami International Airport (MIA) or the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport (FLL). Miami airport is closer, but please consider Ft. Lauderdale if Miami options are limited. Shuttle transfers will be provided for those flying into Miami International Airport (MIA) or Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport (FLL) during specified times. You will receive an email with transportation information before your departure to Miami/Fort Lauderdale. Note, if you are arriving outside of the specified shuttle times, you should take a taxi or rideshare service and expense it following company guidelines.

Q: How should I book my flights for the meeting?

A: All flight bookings must be arranged through Concur and booked in coach/economy. Note, if you have requested to extend at the hotel, you must book your extension directly through the hotel utilizing the link provided in registration before you proceed with booking your flights. If you do not have a corporate AmEx card, you may still book your flights directly through Concur. A corporate payment method has been appended to your profile for this meeting only.

Q: Is parking available at the hotel if I am local to Miami?

A: If you are local to Miami, valet parking is available at the hotel and can be expensed following company guidelines.

Q: Who do I contact about flight-related questions?

A: All flight-related questions should be directed to BCD at (866) 924-6185 or to Travel Services at travelservices@alixpartners.com.

Q: Can I upgrade using Frequent Flyer miles or points?

A: Yes, however, any upgrade charges will be at your own expense.

Hotel Accommodations

Q: Can I extend my stay at the hotel before or after the meeting?

A: Yes; however, any additional expenses incurred as a result of a personal extended stay will be at your own expense. Refer to the Hotels page for more information.

Additional Meeting Information

Q: What accommodations are being made for nursing mothers?

A: If you are a nursing mother and would like to take advantage of our breast milk shipment program, click here for more information and reach out to Maria Steward at msteward@alixpartners.com or by phone at +1 (212) 297-6335. A secure room near the meeting space will be provided for you to utilize during the meeting.

Note, the deadline to sign up for the program is April 22, 2024, to ensure the necessary supplies are in place.

Q: What is the attire for the meeting?

A: Business casual during meetings. Resort Casual for dinners. Weather permitting, the dinners will be outside, so neat shorts are permitted. Also, meeting rooms can be chilly, so it is recommended that you bring a sweater or light jacket.

Q: What if I need special accomodations?
