The Honeycutt Award

The Honeycutt Award is a bestowed on the most outstanding poster presentation by pre-professional or professional students, nurses or advanced practice nurses, midwives or medical residents of any specialty. The poster presentation will be judged by a scientific panel chosen by the Watson Bowes Research Institute.

The posters are presented and judged each year at the Matthew Bulfin Educational Conference (MBEC). The winner will be presented with the Honeycutt Award ($500) on Saturday morning of the conference, during the plenary session.

For 2024's conference, all posters must be set up by 1pm on Friday February 23rd (but ideally before the conference starts at 10am). Scoring by the judges will take place Friday from 4:30-5:30pm. Participants must be present at their poster during that time for interview by the judges but may leave after the interview. The Honeycutt Award will be given to the presentation which scored the highest on 3 criteria: scientific merit, applicability to life issues, and presentation.

Instructions for the poster format will be sent to all registrants one month prior to the conference.

Registration is now closed.
