2024 Joe DeCook Medical Student Scholarship

The Matthew Bulfin Educational Conference (MBEC) addresses topics of interest to pro-life practitioners and provides the opportunity to meet and interact with researchers, speakers and physicians. It offers an outstanding opportunity to network with like-minded pro-life colleagues in a stimulating professional setting. Physicians, residents, medical students and other medical professionals find encouragement among colleagues who understand what it is like to practice pro-life, pro-family medicine in a pro-abortion environment.

The Joseph DeCook Medical Student & Resident Scholarship is a full scholarship to pay for transportation (up to $500) and conference costs for medical students and residents who would like to attend MBEC.

This scholarship is funded primarily by AAPLOG/ACPeds members who want to “give forward” a gift toward developing the next generation of pro-life and pro-family physicians.

Each student/resident who becomes a Joe DeCook Scholar will have the opportunity to be put in contact with an AAPLOG/ACPeds member willing to serve as his/her mentor-contact.

Medical and midwifery students and Residents are invited to apply, along with other health professional students.

The application process has closed.
