Our top priority is to create a safe and healthy meeting environment for our attendees and industry partners. BroadcastMed, the meeting organizer, will refer to the CDC COVID-19 Community Levels (Low, Medium, High) and associated prevention actions to guide health precautions for the Global Specialty Lens Symposium (GSLS).

We strongly encourage all meeting participants to do the following regardless of the CDC COVID-19 Community Level:

  • Stay up to date with COVID-19 and other recommended adult vaccinations.
  • Take a rapid COVID test prior to attending a meeting and do not attend in person if you test positive.
  • Do not attend the meeting if you have symptoms that could be consistent with a cold or any other respiratory infection and leave the meeting if you develop such symptoms.
  • Review current CDC and applicable local guidance for protecting yourself from COVID-19.

Should BroadcastMed determine that changes to the health requirements are necessary or that entry requirements for GSLS need to be implemented, participants will be notified in advance.

Be Well Policy and Liability Waiver

BroadcastMed will enforce its Be Well Policy and Liability Waiver, which requires consent during registration by all participants as a condition of participation. In addition, the policy includes the stipulation that if you feel sick or are experiencing COVID-like symptoms before traveling or while onsite, you will reconsider your participation at the event.
