Who is Out & Equal? 

Out & Equal is the premier organization working exclusively on LGBTQ workplace equality. Through our worldwide programs, Fortune 500 partnerships and our annual Workplace Summit conference, we help LGBTQ people thrive and support organizations creating a culture of belonging for all. 

What is the Executive Forum?  

The annual Out & Equal Executive Forum (ExFo) brings together global LGBTQ+ and ally senior executives and individual leaders from multi-national corporations and federal agencies. Combining professional development and in-depth exploration of the global landscape of LGBTQ+ workplace equality, participants also receive unique networking and peer-to-peer learning opportunities. 

Where will ExFo be held this year? 

The 2023 ExFo will take place in-person this year at the MGM National Harbor at 101 MGM National Ave, Oxon Hill, MD 20745.  

When does ExFo take place? 

ExFo takes place Tuesday, February 28th to Thursday, March 2nd, 2023.  

When should I plan to arrive and depart? 

Please plan to arrive by 6:00 PM on Tuesday, February 28th to participate in the ExFo Opening Reception. ExFo will culminate with Momentum on Thursday, March 2nd concluding at approximately 10:00 PM. Attendees should plan to depart the following morning: Friday, March 3rd. 

How many people are going to be in each Learning Cohort?

ExFo is designed to place participants in learning sessions and in networking groups that most closely align with their organizational level, role/function, and professional interest; each learning cohort will have approximately 50-60 participants.

Is there a lost & found?

For lost & found items, please go to the registration desk located on the 2nd floor at the entrance to the event area. 

ATTIRE 

What is the attire for ExFo? 

Business casual attire is appropriate for much of ExFo.

For Momentum (Thursday, March 2), attendees should come in business formal or festive attire. The theme for Momentum will be black and silver in celebration of Out & Equal's 25th Anniversay.            

REGISTRATION 

What is included with registration?

Registration includes all events starting in the evening of Feburary 28th through Momentum on March 2nd. 

Are there meals served throughout the event?

Yes, attendees will be served meals each day. Tuesday (2/28) - appetizers only. Wednesday (3/1) - breakfast, lunch and dinner. Thursday (3/2) - breakfast, lunch and dinner (at the Momentum Celebration).

I can no longer attend but someone else can go in my place. How do I substitute? 

Name changes and substitutions for registrations from the same organization are welcomed until 30 days prior to the event. After this point, transfers will not be accepted and refunds or cancellations will not be given. Please contact the registration team at Registration@outandequal.org for assistance transferring your registration.  Registration transfers are not guaranteed the same cohort seat as originally booked but will be determined on a first-come, first-serve basis using the same intake information required during the original registration.

HOUSING

Is there a discounted housing rate provided? 

Yes. There is a discounted room block at the MGM National Harbor hotel for the duration of the 2023 Executive Forum. Rates will be available until sold out or February 6th, 2023. These rates do not include taxes or fees.  

Can I reserve housing prior to purchasing my registration package?

HEALTH & SAFETY

Will masks and/or vaccines be required to attend Executive Forum?

At this time masks and vaccines are not required to attend this event. As the state of public health information is fluid, we encourage attendees to frequently check this page, as policies and mandates are subject to change. If you feel ill or had recent exposure to a COVID-19 case do not attend any Out & Equal events.  

Out & Equal works in close collaboration with security consultants, venue security, and local law enforcement, to ensure all our attendees are safe while participating in our events. An important component of that plan is to understand the landscape of external activities that could impact our attendee's experience. While we do not envision any challenging or negative impact, we will note that the following events are being closely monitored and any issues we identify will be communicated to our attendees as appropriate:

PARTNER REGISTRATION CODES 

If you have received a code to register for the event, please reference the registration link provided to you via email. Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to accommodate individual registration purchases to this year’s Executive Forum.

What forms of payment are accepted? 

If you are not using a partner registration code for ExFo, registration payment must be made online with a credit card. If you are a partner company contact looking to purchase additional registrations, please contact your account manager at Out & Equal or reach out to Registration@outandequal.org.   

How will Learning Cohorts be decided?

ExFo is designed to place participants in learning sessions and in networking groups that most closely align with your organizational level, role/function, and professional interest. Participants will be asked for career information and preferred cohorts during registration to help ensure a quality learning experience. Cohorts, or Learning Track Groups, are filled on a rolling basis. 

I was given a code to register and it isn’t working. What do I do? 

Please contact the registration team at Registration@outandequal.org for assistance applying your code to your registration. 

My company is an O&E partner, but I was not given a discount code. Where do I retrieve my code? 

As a partner, your company may have been given a limited number of partner codes for company attendees. These codes MUST be distributed by the designated partnership contact at your company, and cannot be distributed by Out & Equal.  If you believe you should have received a code for registration, please contact your company representative. If you do not know who your company representative is, please contact Partnerships@outandequal.org.
