Dr. Erin Engle

Dr. Engle is a licensed clinical psychologist and Clinical Director of Columbia Psychiatry Specialty Services at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC). Dr. Engle is co-chair of the Well-Being Committee in Psychiatry and promotes well-being values and initiatives within her department and across the greater academic medical community. She teaches medical students, supervises predoctoral psychology interns and co-directs training for the Psychiatry Adult Fellowship in Mood and Anxiety Disorders. At CUIMC, she has expertise in college mental health and currently provides individual and group psychotherapy to young adults and adults, integrating mindfulness and a skills-based, cognitive-behavioral approach. She is trained in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and calls upon this and her intensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to provide compassionate, evidence-based clinical care.

Dr. Mary Sciutto P'16

Dr. Sciutto is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Columbia University Medical Center and an Advisory Dean at the Columbia Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. Her areas of expertise include crisis management and outpatient psychiatry as well as medical student education and residency training. During her long career at Columbia, she has held many leadership roles including Associate Director of the Psychiatric Emergency Room, Director of the Intensive Outpatient Program and she currently serves as the Medical Director of Columbia Psychiatry Specialty Services. In all of her roles she has focused on providing excellent clinical care for patients as well as education/teaching of medical students and residents. She has received numerous teaching awards and was inducted into the Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons Academy of Clinical Excellence.
