ABOUT THE EVENT

Location: Virtual
Date: Wednesday, April 14, 2021
Time: 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm ET

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought significant change and loss to all of our lives. This prolonged stress has led to exhaustion, anxiety and many other symptoms that impact our day-to-day functioning. In our discussion, we will review the stress response, specifically the physiological and psychological impact of stress. We will also discuss related vulnerabilities that put us at risk, normal and abnormal reactions to stress, and when to seek help. We will review practical and evidence-based strategies that enhance our coping skills and strengthen our reserves.

The Villanova University M. Louise Fitzpatrick College of Nursing is accredited as a provider of continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. The entire program awards 1.0 contact hours.

The cost for contact hours = $10.00. This money will be donated to the Nova Nook at Villanova University. The Nova Nook provides supplemental personal necessities to students in need. Their goal is to create a safe and discreet space to distribute basic toiletries and food items to students in our community who may struggle to manage these costs on their own.

We look forward to seeing you!
