23rd edition of the International Conference on Analytical and Applied Pyrolysis

 

Call for Abstracts - Deadline extended to: 10 February 2022

 

The 2022 program will consist partly of oral presentations selected in 2020 and will be completed with a number of orals to be selected from the current Call for Abstracts.

 

The Scientific Committee welcomes abstract submission on the below listed topics:

  1. Progress in analysis and analytical instrumentation
  2. Analytical pyrolysis/environment, cultural heritage, food, medical
  3. Analytical pyrolysis of coal, biomass, waste, polymers and plastics
  4. Analytical and applied catalytic (hydro)pyrolysis
  5. Reaction mechanisms and kinetics/modelling and experimentation
  6. Applied pyrolysis of coal, biomass and wast: bench scal testing
  7. Applied pyrolysis of coal, biomass and wast: PDU and large scal operation
  8. Applied pyrolysis for recycling of polymers and plastics
  9. Hydrothermal and solvent liquefaction; hydrothermal carbonization
  10. Product stabilization, separation, purification and (catalytic) upgrading
  11. Product characterization and utilization
  12. Techno-economic and environmental assessments

The 4 best posters will be awarded a poster prize of 500€ each. The poster awards are intended to support and promote young scientists. 

The poster prizes are offered by  and will be announced in the Award Ceremony during the Conference Dinner.

 

Instructions for Authors

  • Abstracts must be written in English via the online submission form;
  • Abstract text is limited to maximum 450 words (abstract text excludes the title, authors and affiliations);
  • Use Arial font size 10, single spacing and type the text unjustified without hyphenating words at line breaks. Use hard returns only to end headings and paragraphs, not to rearrange lines;
  • Type title in sentence case in bold with no full stop at the end;
  • Type family name first followed by the initials of the first name of the authors (Rubens P.P., Van Eyck J. etc.);
  • Type affiliation underneath the authors: Institution, Dept., City, Country (do not mention street addresses, PO boxes or zip codes). When there are multiple affiliations number them as follows and use the semi-colon between the multiple affiliations:

                         1Dept. A, Organisation A, City, Country; 2Dept. B, Organisation B, City, Country; 3Dept. C, Organisation C, City, Country

  • Tables and graphs are allowed, but must be limited to 2. These are not counted towards the word limit;
  • The use of references is discouraged and must be limited to max 3. When you list references use superscript numbers in both the text and the reference list. Use Arial font size 8 for references.

How to submit an Abstract

Abstracts must be submitted as a Word file via the online submission form (see below).

You can submit several abstracts at the same time and/or add abstracts later on. It is also possible to provisionally upload an abstract, revise it and finalize the submission at a later stage. Do bear in mind to finalise your submission before the deadline.
