WEDNESDAY, APRIL 7

At the conclusion, participants should be able to:

 

  • Describe latest psychosocial, medical and legal issues in reproductive medicine
  • Distinguish unique psychosocial needs and challenges for transgender patients
  • Diminish racial disparities in medicine
  • Identify appropriate steps and process for conducting third party evaluations
  • Assess and practice advanced counseling treatment modalities and approaches
  • Recognize current legislative challenges to reproductive medicine 
THURSDAY, APRIL 8

At the conclusion, participants should be able to:

 

  • Summarize recent and emerging developments in the IVF Lab
  • Identify new developments in the PAI and other clinical and assessment tools
  • Recognize unique cultural competency issues for psychological counseling in reproductive endocrinology patients
  • Discuss the interprofessional process and psychosocial issues involved in becoming a surrogate
  • Discuss legal and counseling implications of physician fertility fraud
FRIDAY, APRIL 9: ETHICS

At the conclusion, participants should be able to:

 

  • Recognize unique ethical aspects of embryo donation
  • Apply evidence-base techniques with gestational surrogates and intended parents
  • Confront and resolve unique ethical issues facing mental health professionals in Assisted Reproductive Technology
