OVERVIEW

Ofsted nominee training for those managers who are experienced in the role on inspection

A detailed look at your role and responsibilities

This webinar will tell you everything you need to know about being a nominee during an Ofsted inspection based on the Education Inspection Framework (EIF). It builds on the ‘Overview of the role of the nominee’ webinar delivered by Ofsted in June.

Attendees will also receive a handout on handy tips and hints for anyone undertaking the role of nominee on inspection.

OBJECTIVES

At the end of this webinar, you will have learned about:

  • How the nominee role has changed since the introduction of the EIF.
  • How inspectors gather evidence to judge the quality of your provision.
  • The role and main responsibilities of a provider nominee.
  • The key characteristics of an effective provider nominee and who it should be.
  • What you can realistically do in advance of receiving notification from Ofsted for inspection.
  • The purpose of the planning meeting telephone call and what the lead inspector wants to know.
  • What to do between the call for inspection and the inspection itself.
  • Your likely role during an inspection.

Target Audience

Any providers of post-16 education and training, particularly those who are in scope to be inspected in the near future against the new Education Inspection Framework (EIF).

Specifically this webinar will benefit provider inspection nominees who have carried out the role for an Ofsted inspection in post-16 education and training settings previously and their deputies, or sub-nominees. Also, CEO's, Principals, other senior leaders, and middle managers.
