The Greater Washtenaw Region of the Michigan Small Business Development Center, recognized as one of the statewide network’s highest performing teams. In 2019 the group provided over 5,600 hours of business counseling to more than 800 small businesses, resulting in 57 business starts, 538 jobs created or retained, and $42M in capital formation.

The MI-SBDC provides free, confidential counseling to small businesses in all 83 Michigan counties, along with live and online training, developed specifically for Michigan’s small businesses. The Greater Washtenaw Region covers Hillsdale, Jackson, Lenawee, Livingston, Monroe, and Washtenaw counties.

The MI-SBDC Greater Washtenaw Region has partnered closely with the Great Lakes Women’s Business Council for many years. It has recently been working in greater collaboration with CEED Lending to provide access to capital for worthy small businesses that are not currently bankable.
