Michèle TIXIER-BOICHARD
Congress chair
Michèle Tixier-Boichard entered WPSA in 1989, when she was a young researcher in poultry genetics at INRA. She chaired the European Working Group 3 ‘Breeding and genetics’ from 1994 to 2002. She attended all World Poultry Conferences since 1992 and she was an invited speaker in European, Asia-Pacific and World Poultry Conferences. She was elected vice-president of the European Federation in 1998 and reelected in 2002, before being elected vice-president of the world body in 2004 and reelected in 2008.
Pierre-André GERAERT

Pierre-André Geraert is Director Innovation Marketing for Adisseo. After 13 years as scientist at INRA, he moved to the industry to become R&D Nutrition Director at Adisseo. He is an active member of the working group n°2 Nutrition of the European Federation of WPSA. He is currently President of WPSA France since 2002. He has been involved in the organization of the 16th European Symposium on Poultry Nutrition in Strasbourg in 2007 and in the XIIIth European Poultry conference in 2010 in Tours.
Michel DUCLOS
Chair Scientific Committee
Michel Duclos has worked at INRA since 1985, with a contribution in the field of poultry growth physiology, metabolism and meat quality. He is presently the director of INRA UR83 Recherches Avicoles in Tours. He participated to his first WPSA meeting, the EPC in Paris, in 1986, and then regularly. He collaborated to the organization of ESPN 2007 and he was the chairman of the scientific committee of EPC2010. He is presently the chairman of WG5 meat Quality of EF of WPSA branches and the secretary of the WPSA French Branch.
Michel MAGNIN
Congress budget & financial management
Michel Magnin has been working in animal production and especially in poultry nutrition since 1987 as technical and scientific manager in different companies, including international markets. Today, he is the marketing and innovation manager of BNA Animal Nutrition, one of the leading French premix companies; he entered WPSA in 2004 and collaborated to the organization of EPC2010.
Michel LESSIRE
Technical visits & youth program
Michel Lessire is involved in poultry nutrition since 1979, when he was recruited at INRA. His main research activity is to study metabolizable energy value and digestibility of raw materials in poultry. He entered WPSA French Branch of WPSA in 2002 and was elected as secretary in 2009, before being elected as vice president in 2011. He organized the 16th ESPN and collaborated to the organization of 2010 EPC.
