SOMSA Scientific Assembly Hotel Reservations Now Open
Important Information Regarding the Official 2019 SOMSA Hotels
The Special Operations Medical Association is able to conduct high-quality meetings at desirable locations for a reasonable fee because of a block of hotel rooms contracted for meeting attendees. In exchange for filling the required number of sleeping rooms, SOMA is able to use the hotel and convention center meeting space at no or reduced costs, thus keeping registration fees low. In addition, meeting attendees receive a reduced rate for their sleeping rooms.
Making Hotel Reservations
SOMA has blocked fewer hotel rooms for SOMSA participants this year compared to previous years. SOMA assumes a financial risk when securing hotel rooms and meeting space for SOMSA. For the past several years, the hotel room pick-up was considerably less than the contracted room blocks resulting in financial penalties for SOMA. Please book only the number of rooms that you are certain you will use You can help us to keep rates for the Assembly and hotel rooms affordable by booking rooms at the designated Assembly hotels and avoiding last minute cancellations by not overbooking rooms.
Hotels may sell out prior to the cutoff date, so please make your reservations early. The negotiated SOMSA rates will not be available after the cut-off date of April 15. |
