• A practical overview of the working of the brain and how this knowledge can help in situations of change, stress and fear. 
• Cultivating a resilient mindset 
• Getting thinking about the positive aspects of this change
• Thinking differently about what might happen in the future
• Generally considering values
• Understanding of personal characteristics
• Opportunities inherent in what may seem to be a dismal situation

10:30-10:50: Morning tea - 20 minutes

10:50am - 12:30pm: Looking after yourself

• Getting to consider your personal reaction to change and what is happening in your brain
• Building personal awareness and awareness of others
• Overview of risk factors for stress, anxiety and depression 
• Characteristics of a stress-hardy mindset (commitment, challenge and personal control)
• Importance of self talk -> optimism/pessimism (Martin Seligman)
• Responsibility 


12:30pm -13:15pm : Lunch – 45 minutes

13:15pm -15:30pm: What to Expect Regarding Change and Skills to Deal with Change on a Personal Level 

• Putting perspectives on change
• Awareness of emotions and dealing with them effectively
• The Grieving Process
• Fear: what is it and how to overcome/cope with it
• Positive thinking and other coping strategies
• The Change Curve


15:30pm - 15:50pm: - Afternoon tea - 20 minutes

15:30pm – 16.45pm: Building your Resilience Strategies and Comfort Zone

• Comfort zone explanation and the impact of getting out of it or not
• Awareness of responsibilities to move out of comfort zones
• Taking action and responsibility
• The outcomes of being proactive 
• Fighting change
• Leveraging the support within your network
