This road show will ensure you are aware of the Law Society’s regulatory requirements, it's changes and help keep you and your colleagues compliant.
Throughout
the day you will hear from the Society’s Regulation and Financial Compliance team as well as representatives from the Scottish Legal
Complaints Commission (SLCC) and the team from Marsh Insurance.
A mix of presentation and interactive sessions will
give you a full overview of the current position of AML regulations and SLCC complaints handling. You will examine some common problems faced in accounts rules and discuss effective risk management procedures.
By the end of this seminar you will:
- Be fully aware of the current regulations relating to AML
- Understand the common issues with the Accounts Rules
- Know how to handle complaints and the role of SLCC
- Understand your regulatory conduct requirements
- Be up to date on risk management and how to protect your business from recent scams
