The foremost global gathering on investing
in the African mining value chain, the annual Mining Indaba convenes an
elaborate mix of progressive African nations shaping the future of investment
opportunities together with investors, financiers, deal-makers, the leaders
from world’s largest mining houses, government ministers, international press,
analysts and other industry stakeholders. The full four-day conference will be
hosted at the Cape Town International Convention Centre. The conference will
focus on topics relevant to driving investments and capitalising the mining
industry throughout all of Africa.

African
Mining Ministerial Forum
Hosted by the African Development Bank,
JOGMEC and the World Bank, the Ministerial Forum will provide a platform for 16
African Mining Ministers to outline mining opportunities in their respective
countries.
Corporate
Mining Presentation
On the main stage on Monday 8th, Tuesday 9th and Wednesday 10th February, delegates will have the opportunity to hear from c-level executives of all the major players in the African mining corporate space. Country
Case Studies
The Country Case Studies were introduced into the Mining Indaba conference agenda in 2015. These will present delegates with mining and investment backgrounds alike with a rare opportunity to participate in a 2-hour long interactive, in-depth discussion which will showcase the different experiences of and opportunities for the key stakeholders and other thought leaders involved in mining processes in specifically selected African countries. 2015 case studies included Ghana, Guinea and South Africa.
Keynote/Featured
Session
The Keynote Sessions for 2015 which will take place from 8>th-10th February, include both individual presentations from distinguished industry professionals, as well as high-level panel discussions focused around mining investment, investment in Africa and sustainable mining.
Mining Thought Leadership Presentation
Mining Thought Leadership presentations include a combination of industry thought leaders, junior mining companies and service providers - interesting companies that are pushing to become front runners in their respective industries.
Non-African
Government Presentation
The non-African Government presentations will see a variety of topics discussed, from policies for African mining investment, to the ways in which a country plans to strategize its role and position within the African mining value chain, from international jurisdictions who are actively looking at developing relationships with and investing into Africa’s mining industry.
Securities
Exchange Session
Global Stock Exchanges will engage in 2-hour sessions that will focus on how listing on one of these exchanges creates new investment opportunities for African mining companies. The sessions will draw on case studies and regulatory insights that assist in identifying the competitive edges of each participating stock exchange.
Special
Information Session
Special information sessions consist of a series of 2 hour interactive discussions, running over the course of the conference and led by panels of experts that have been co-ordinated by a series of leading financial and industry specialists. The topics have been carefully selected based on the current challenges and key themes within the industry and content has been engineered to ensure relevance for delegates from a variety of disciplines.
Sustainable
Development at Mining Indaba
Sustainable development through mining has become both a key challenge and a primary objective for investors, policy-makers and miners alike in Africa. In collaboration with the International Council of Mining and Metals (ICMM), Mining Indaba is pleased to offer delegates a combination of a keynote address and two interactive panel discussions on Thursday, th February focused on sustainable development.
