BIKE SHIPPING
The Basics:
For teammates that have chosen a fundraising package that includes bike shipment, Team In Training has partnered with TriBike Transport (TBT), a third party vendor, for our teammates’ bike shipment services for the Maine Lighthouse Ride. TBT will be communicating all logistical information to teammates.

What’s Included:
- Shipment to/from the event weekend
- Mechanic services onsite
- *NEW* exclusive perk for Team In Training only: TBT will allow each teammate the option to ship one small complimentary gear bag per reservation. Required gear bag specs: Maximum allowable weight is 25 lbs; no larger than 12”x12”x18” in dimension; must be a soft-sided duffle bag or backpack with no wheels or hard edges. *This perk is exclusive only to Team In Training teammates fundraising for bike shipment services.
Shipment Options:
Most (if not all) teammates will have the opportunity to utilize TBT’s Fully-Assembled bike shipment services, dropping their bike off at a predetermined location by a given deadline. For those that do not live near a drop off location or would prefer it, TBT also offers a Pack & Ship service where your bike would be boxed and mailed (UPS or FedEx) to the event destination, reassembled onsite by TBT staff, disassembled after the ride, and mailed back to you afterwards.

To Reserve Bike Shipping:
If you signed up with TNT at a level that includes bike shipping you will receive an email with instructions,a link and a code to complete your online reservation for bike shipping directly on TBT’s website. The coupon code provided will allow you to select a shipment service of your choice plus one small gear bag if you choose to utilize that perk. The instructional email will come from Team In Training by Friday, August 4. You MUST complete this step yourself in order to obtain bike shipping.
Please note:
· If you select a Pack-n-Ship option: This entails partially disassembling your bike by removing the pedals, seat, seat post, handlebars and front wheel, then packaging it into a bike box for shipment. You may disassemble and package your bike yourself or ask a local bike shop provide that service for you. If you choose to ask a bike shop to perform this service for you, they may charge a fee which LLS does not cover. We encourage you to call your shop ahead of time and make arrangements and to secure a bike box if you do not have one already.
· All athletes must bring their helmets, shoes, and pedals with them to event weekend or pack them in your complimentary gear bag. Bikes cannot ship with these items attached.
