Important!

Pre-registration for all sessions is required. If you have not done so already please use the modify link above to revisit your booking and make your session selections. Sessions are filling up fast and popular sessions will be closed to delegates not pre-registered for them.

If you're attending and are pre-registered for the Accredited Firms session at 09:45 on day 1 you'll be able to pick up your delegate pack and badge at the meeting room, prior to the start of the session. See the programme for full details.

Registration officially opens at 12:30 on day 1, Monday 6 October. The IFP registration desk will be located outside the Exhibition Hall on Level C and you can pick up your delegate pack and badge from there. Lunch is served from 12:30 in the Exhibition and sessions start promptly at 13:55.

Actions required
  • Review your booking - make sure it’s all correct and that you are registered for everything you think you should be. In particular, check the accommodation is right. If you’re staying at the Resort itself, check whether you’re at the Manor House Hotel or the Resort Hotel as it’ll save you time on the day. Also, if you have any special requirements we’ll need to know about these in advance. To help us, if you know you definitely won't be attending certain elements of the conference that you are booked in for, particularly the evenings, then please amend your booking accordingly. It causes us all sorts of problems to have a place set for you at dinner if you're not planning to attend - and it’s a terrible waste too!
  • Choose your sessions - if you haven't done so already please login to your booking and pre-select those sessions you want to attend. Places at sessions are limited and for the really popular ones, we’ll be signing pre-registered delegates only into sessions.
  • Download the conference app – click here to find out how & start connecting with the other delegates. You could use it share lifts or even a game of golf for the Sunday.
  • Plan your journey - view the map & directions to Celtic Manor. If you're interested in sharing transfers use the app to get in touch with delegates.
  • Follow the IFP on twitter - @IFP_UK and use #IFPconf. Get tweeting about what you're looking forward to in the run up and at the conference.
  • Pack the right clothes - the dress code for the conference days and welcome evening is smart casual but for the gala evening (Tuesday) its black tie.
  • See who's exhibiting - do a bit of homework so you can plan your time in the exhibition wisely. It’s the perfect time to do your due diligence on the latest products & services. Don't forget, the exhibition isn't open on Wednesday. View this year's exhibitors and sponsors.
  • Want to stay Sunday? To add Sunday night accommodation, login to your booking and change the check in date accordingly. An additional payment will apply but you can pay this online too by working through to the end of your booking.
Don't forget

There are some things you really don't want to be without during your time at the conference:
  • Business cards
  • Cufflinks for the gents
  • Mobile phone
  • Phone charger
  • Dinner suit or evening dress for ladies
  • Swimming/gym kit
  • Laptop/tablet - there's free WIFI at the Resort and it's good quality too.
Hopefully you've got everything you need and we really look forward to seeing you at the conference but if there's anything further you require please get in touch with the IFP events team on 0117 945 2470 or by emailing events@financialplanning.org.uk.
