MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 28
Companion Tour 1 | Santa Catalina Island Get-a-Way! 9am – 6pm Beautiful Santa Catalina Island is just a 60 minute ferry ride from Long Beach! Guests will board a high speed catamaran to Catalina in Long Beach. Once onboard, guests can take in ocean breezes and look out for a glimpse of White-sided dolphins and maybe even a migrating whale! Or come inside and enjoy a snack, refreshing beverage as you relax in comfortable airline-style seats. Once on the island you are free to explore, shop, dine and enjoy the islands water and adventure activities. Guests will be on their own for lunch. Guests will be given a voucher good for one of the following:
Companion Tour 2 | Coastal Beer & Wine Tasting Tour on the Big Red Bus! 10 am – 4pm Tour the beautiful southern coast from Long Beach on the open top Big Red Bus! Experienced tour guides will point out places of interest along the way. The first stop will be at the Belmont Brewing Company (BBC) in Belmont Shore for some sampling of their crafts beers and then on to Surf City USA! You will stop in Huntington Beach for some sightseeing, shopping and time for lunch. You will be given an envelope with $15.00 cash to purchase lunch at the restaurant of your choice. As you come back up the coast you will stop in charming Sunset Beach for wine sampling at Brix Wine Bar. This tour will give you a taste of what Southern California coastal living is really like! TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 29 Companion Breakfast and Self-Guided Tour of the Aquarium of the Pacific 9 am Companions will be treated to a breakfast buffet with omelet station and coffee bar served at Gladstone’s from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Following breakfast, you will be taking a brief walk to the Aquarium of the Pacific where you will receive general admission. The Aquarium of the Pacific is the fourth most-attended aquarium in the nation. It displays over 11,000 animals in more than 50 exhibits that represent the diversity of the Pacific Ocean. Each year more than 1.5 million people visit the Aquarium. Beyond its world-class animal exhibits, the Aquarium offers educational programs for people of all ages from hands-on activities to lectures by leading scientists. You will come face-to-face with, and even touch, the ocean’s ultimate predators in Shark Lagoon, feed Lorikeet birds and frolic with mischievous sea otters! *Please note some walking will be required.
