Networking Outings
Networking is an important part of the HUG. Each year, we invite our HUG attendees to participate in an organized activity. These outings are small groups that venture out of the hotel to share a unique experience like no other.

Charleston Fishing Tournament
Fish on the calm waters of Charleston’s inlets where you can cast out and enjoy the beauty of nature. Guides will provide everything you need and show you the best spots to hook line and sink em’. Friendly competition and team building, a fantastic way to engage and build unity with your peers and colleagues.
Charleston Place Spa Experience
Relax, unwind and pamper yourself with a luxurious, soothing spa treatment. Enjoy a manicure, pedicure or massage at The Spa at the Charleston Belmond Place. Light snacks and beverages included.
Carriage Tour of Charleston
For a calmer experience, enjoy a leisurely ride through the most historic sites of Charleston. Horses will pull you through all the best sites Charleston has to offer. Sites change daily to provide a unique experience for every guest.
Charleston Nature Adventures Kayaking
Cruise through historic Shem Creek in a single or double kayak. Admire wildlife native to Charleston including a variety of birds, fish, and possibly a dolphin or two! Explore areas exclusively accessible by kayak and all the southern charm of Shem Creek. Skills such as communication, leadership, and team culture are promoted off and on the water.
Fort Sumter Tour
Take a boat ride around the beautiful Charleston Harbor and step foot on the historical Fort Sumter. Experience the fort and learn about the importance it played in the Civil War and the War of 1812. Walk the steps of heroes and learn about America’s history of freedom.
Historical Culinary Education Tour
Explore the streets & alleys of Historic Charleston with your expert guide. Amid the 18th & 19th century buildings, your guide will point out historic sites, architectural treasures, hidden gardens, and the Four Corners of Law.
This tour will immerse you in the history and culture of the Lowcountry. You will discover how our unique culinary cuisine has evolved over the past 300+ years.
Included is a visit to the Heyward - Washington House, built in 1772. While touring the house, your guide will discuss 18th century dining customs followed by a tour of the 1740’s kitchen building located in the garden.
