Georg Bachmaier Talent Acquisition & Diversity Lead Microsoft As of July 1 2009, Georg Bachmaier has taken on the role of the Talent Acquisition & Diversity Lead at Microsoft Germany. He is part of the HR Management team and manages the entire Staffing function including the vendor management with Kenexa. Georg obtained both of his bachelor degrees in Canada, his Bachelor of Arts at Carleton University and his Bachelor of Education at the University of Western Ontario. He was employed by Deutsche Bank since 1993. In his first 5 years there, he worked as a banker in charge of private and business customers as well as commercial property before launching his career in HR. He initiated the establishment of regional university marketing in Germany and was responsible for creating university contacts with Deutsche Bank. After 2 years he was promoted to senior executive and was responsible for graduate recruiting, marketing and training with the support of a team of 4 employees. He then transferred to Frankfurt where he contributed substantially to the establishment of global recruitment and marketing. From 2004 he spent 2 exciting years in London where he was promoted to Director and led a global team of employees based in London, Frankfurt, New York and Hong Kong. With a marketing budget responsibility for more than € 2.5 million he developed the first global Employer Brand Campaign for Deutsche Bank. In 2007 he returned to HQ in Frankfurt and led the restructuring and expansion of the Resourcing function within the newly created HR department. In his capacity as Director Resourcing he was responsible for all corporate issues related to recruiting and employer brand and marketing. In his spare time Georg enjoys going on long nature trips, primarily in the Bavarian mountains, and loves to cook.
At Microsoft, Georg’s focus is driving the recruiting strategy for Microsoft Germany and implementing staffing best practices. In addition, he is responsible for the university program (MACH), for workforce planning and HC management in close cooperation with Finance. He also continues to develop our employer branding and controls the new operating model together with Kenexa. In addition to his Staffing responsibilities, Georg also acts as our Diversity Lead. | |

Norman is an experienced business manager, having run profitable businesses in both Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and Information Communications and Telecommunications (ICT) environments. Gary Bragar Research Director, HRO NelsonHall Gary joined NelsonHall in April 2007 after having gained extensive HR management experience at AT&T. His first market analysis was on Recruitment Process Outsourcing. Published in October, 2007, it received great reviews in the U.S. and Europe and thus Gary produced a subsequent RPO market study in 2009. and Middle East. Erica was the Managing
Director for AccuStaff Incorporated which was acquired by Randstad. Under her
tenure, Erica negotiated and delivered a cross border enterprise outsourcing
project with Discovery Channel Latin America which resulted in a multi-million
dollar Global contract. She was also the principal owner of an Executive Search
Firm based in Miami, Florida.
As an
entrepreneur with her Florida firm, Erica ran a desk as a US$1 million dollar
biller with 24 consultants.Erica
fulfilled a dream and took a sabbatical last year to complete an MBA. She recently graduated from Henley Business
School where she received a mark of academic distinction on her dissertation.
Her dissertation, on measuring staff engagement in the education sector, is in
the process of being published.
She also has a BA in Business and

Peter Cappelli Director of the Center for Human Resources The Wharton School Peter Cappelli is the George W. Taylor Professor of Management at The Wharton School and Director of Wharton’s Center for Human Resources. He has degrees in industrial relations from Cornell University and in labor economics from Oxford where he was a Fulbright Scholar. Denis Carroll Thomson Reuters International Payroll Consultant Denis is an International Payroll Specialist who works with clients to rationalise and optimise their International Payroll Models. He has worked in the Payroll Industry for 27 years. His formative years were spent in Local Government working for two large London Councils. In 1998 Denis moved to Ceridian to lead Ceridian’s London Managed Payroll Service – taking responsibility for service delivery to over 200 customers. Catherine Lynch HR Director, Integration & Manufacturing Santander Catherine began her career in operational management in the retail sector, gaining a good grounding in team leadership, customer service and change management with Tesco, Sainsbury's and House of Fraser. She moved across to HR and graduated from Buckinghamshire Chilterns in 2000 with an MSc in Human Resource Management. She joined Abbey in 2004, and was appointed Head of HR for Retail in 2006 where she enjoyed leading the Retail HR team through Santander's change programmes. Throughout his career, Misko has earned a number of professional certifications, including Certified Diversity Recruiter (CDR), Certified Internet Recruiter (CIR) and Professional in Human Resources (PHR). He has also completed advanced certification from the Department of Industry, Labor and Human Relations. Additionally, Misko has delivered more than 100 seminars on a variety of human resource topics.
He is currently a member of the Society of Human Resource Managers (SHRM), the Employers Management Association (EMA) and the National Association of Personnel Services (NAPS). He is a past-president of the metro Milwaukee SHRM chapter. He is considered an industry expert in applying “Lean Methodologies” in the talent acquisition process.
Zachary is a Senior Executive Board Member of Best Practice Institute (BPI) and serves on the Advisory Board for Enticelabs. Currently, Misko is co-chair of the Human Resource Outsource Association (HROA) Research Committee and a member of the Human Resource Outsource Association (HROA) Outreach and Education Committee. Rob Remmerswaal Head of the Central Personnel Division and Payroll Uvipa Foundation Rob Remmerswaal began his career at the Ministry of Agriculture in The Hague. Here he has gone through several positions before he was appointed Head of the Central Personnel Division and Payroll. In this role, he was a member of the Personnel Management Team. Additionally the functional management of automated systems, with which the administration was conducted, was housed at the Administrative Centre. In establishing this center Rob was named as director.
In 2003 Rob was asked to set up a program where the cooperation between universities in the field of management was encouraged. One of subprojects in this program was to establish a common payroll for participating universities. In 2006 Rob founded the consulting agency Respro BV. This agency specializes in helping universities, colleges and non-profit organizations in their management, particularly in implementing processes and systems in the HR and Payroll domain. Leon Vliegen Borealis Leon Vliegen is the VP HR of the Protective Packaging Europe business unit at Pregis, with the overall HR responsibility for 1200 employees in Europe (Belgium, Netherlands, UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, France, Poland, Czech, Romania, Hungary) during his career Leon has played a number of key executive HR roles within the industrial sector. They include Vice Managing Director at VKW Limburg (Organisation of employers), Business HR Manager in Borealis and Global HR Director Telecom/Outside plant at Tyco Electronics, At Borealis, as member of the Management Team, Leon had the overall HR responsibility for 800 employees in Europe, Asia, Middle East, US in sales, marketing, supply chain and asset/plant development. Joining the polyolefin producer as a coordinator of the expatriates, he takes the lead, a year later, of the HR Direction of the Zwijndrecht plant, in Belgium. He was then in charge of the development of the organization before being seen promoted DRH of all the Belgian sites of the group in 1999. Rewarded by the profession, he was then elected, in 2003, HR Manager of the year.
