Rail
The Priory Rooms are located approximately 7 minutes walk from New Street Station, where there are regular train services from all parts of the country. Trains run every half hour from London Euston – the journey time is approximately 1hr 40 mins.
To reach us from New Street Station, exit the station through the main ticket barriers and head towards the Stephenson Street Exit (sign posted). Turn right on exiting the station towards the ramp and then left onto Corporation Street. Continue up Corporation Street passing House of Fraser on your left. At the Square Peg, turn left and walk up the road passing the Minories Shopping Arcade. Our driveway is on the right hand side.
Road
From M6 South or North-West
Leave the M6 at junction 6 and follow the A38(M). Follow signs to ‘City Centre, Bromsgrove (A38)’. Do not take any exit to left. Go over the fly-over and then indicate left to leave the Queensway at St. Chads Circus and drive in the Right hand lane towards Colmore Circus (Wesleyan building in its centre). Temporary route: Now turn right onto Colmore Row. Keep heading straight past the Cathedral on your left and take the first left just after this. Follow the road round to the other side of the cathedral onto Temple Row and straight onto Bull Street where you will need to turn left to access our car park.
From M5 South-West
Leave the M5 at junction 3 and travel towards Birmingham City Centre along the A456 (Hagley Road) for 5 miles to the Five Ways Island. This is easily distinguishable as it is surrounded by large office blocks and a Tesco Store. Keep in the outside lane and go under the island into Broad Street, using the underpass. Drive along Broad Street (The International Convention Centre will be on your left) to the Paradise Circus island. Take the 2nd exit at this island and drive down Gt. Charles Queensway to St. Chad’s Circus. Keep in the right hand lane of the slip road and then take the first available right turn and drive in the Right hand lane towards Colmore Circus (Wesleyan building in its centre). Temporary route: Now turn right onto Colmore Row. Keep heading straight past the Cathedral on your left and take the first left just after this. Follow the road round to the other side of the cathedral onto Temple Row and straight onto Bull Street where you will need to turn left to access our car park.
From M40 Oxford and South
Arrive on the M42 and travel west towards the M5. Travel North on the M5 leaving at junction 3. (Read directions from M5 South-West)
From M42 East Midlands
Join the M6 heading towards Birmingham Central and leave M6 at junction 6. (Read directions from M6 South or North-West)
Parking
Londonderry House NCP Discounted Rate
Visitors to The Priory Rooms have the discounted rate of only £5.00 for 24 hours parking at The Londonderry House NCP on Dalton Street, B4 7LX.
The NCP provides secure parking and is only a short walk from our conference centre. Visitors just need to collect their discounted ticket from The Priory Rooms reception at the end of their meeting. Then when you wish to leave the car park enter your original ticket, followed by our ticket for the discount to apply.
It would mean that 8 hours parking which would normally cost £20.00, would be only £5.00!
